Entrepreneurship runs deep in this partnership. Tanya Tymus-Bellamy, a visionary stylist and beauty executive, has successfully owned and operated multiple salon brands across Washington, DC, Illinois, and Atlanta. Josette Simpson, an accomplished restaurateur in the DMV area, brings a mastery of hospitality, operations, and elevated guest experience. Together, they merged their expertise to create something truly special. What began as conversations about beauty and business quickly evolved into something more powerful—conversations about women, leadership, legacy, and possibility. As they spoke often about their daughters—brilliant, spirited, and full of big ideas—it became clear that this salon needed to stand for more than style alone. It needed to stand for representation, ownership, and vision. Naming the salon McKenna Jordan was intentional and symbolic.
